The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Worcester, MA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role manages a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, serving as the primary contact for clients on coverage questions, policy changes, renewals, and billing inquiries. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and processing policy documents, preparing proposals and renewal packages, coordinating certificates of insurance, and handling endorsements.
The Commercial Lines Account Manager collaborates with producers and carriers to secure appropriate coverage, resolve client issues, and support marketing of new and renewal business. The role also involves maintaining accurate account data in agency systems, ensuring compliance with procedures, and delivering prompt, professional customer service.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Coverage and the ability to analyze and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Account Management skills, including managing multiple client relationships, organizing priorities, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Customer Service skills to provide responsive, professional support, resolve issues, and build long-term client relationships.
- Understanding of Insurance products and markets, with exposure to Employee Benefits considered beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and common office software tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with colleagues on-site in Worcester, MA and remotely.
- Prior experience in commercial insurance or a related field; relevant professional licenses or designations (such as a Property & Casualty license) are preferred.
