• Investigate complex, represented claims typically including uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, and represented moderate or major claims.
• Handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims (e.g., business interruption, loss of income, E&O policies).
• Take recorded statements, resolve loss of use claims, make payments to appropriate parties, and negotiate and settle or refer bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.
• Assist in researching or responding to or resolving complex compliance issues and reviewing files to recommend escalation to Home Office.
• Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with business unit best practices.
• Review medical reports in preparation for claims settlement evaluation.
• Act as primary point of contact for policyholder attorneys, leading direct negotiations to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Coordinate the appraisal process for highly complex, disputed claims, ensuring adherence to policy provisions.
• Research and respond to complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues.
• Summarize documents and enter claim system notes.
• Set initial reserve, update reserve, document rationale and claim summary notes.
• Document claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process.
• Determine and explain minimum coverage limits in complex claims involving single or multiple claimants.

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

This job does not have supervisory duties.

In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation offered for this role is $53,500.00 - $84,625.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
