Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as peer mentor and may assign direction to more junior employees, having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

National General is seeking an Inside Property Adjuster to join our Claims team! This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from home while conducting occasional in-person inspections to evaluate homeowner property claims. Prior experience handling residential homeowner claims, with proficiency in Xactimate and Xact Analysis, is highly preferred. This role is responsible for investigating and managing complex homeowner claims from initial inspection through resolution.

Evaluates coverage, assess damages, and prepare detailed estimates to support fair and accurate claim outcomes. You will work directly with customers, contractors, and internal partners to ensure timely resolution while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Recommends process improvements

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Inside Adjuster Cons I: $53,500 - $77,800 Inside Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $82,500 Inside Adjuster Sr Cons I: $65,650 - $104,100 And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
