Senior Commercial Account Manager Overview

Wheeler & Taylor Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager in the Worcester, MA area to support our growing Commercial Lines operations. This position is ideal for an insurance professional with strong account management experience who wants to work with a collaborative team, established carrier partners, and a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

• Manage and service an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts from renewal through ongoing account management.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as their primary service contact.
• Prepare renewals, marketing submissions, proposals, policy changes, endorsements, certificates, and other account servicing needs.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate coverage options and resolve complex service issues.
• Review policies for accuracy and identify coverage gaps or opportunities to better protect clients.
• Support Producers throughout the renewal process and assist with new business opportunities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with internal specialists when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate client documentation within the agency management system.
• Assist with claims, billing questions, and policy interpretation as needed.
• Stay current on commercial insurance products, carrier updates, and industry trends.
• Mentor and support junior service team members when appropriate.

• Minimum of five years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience within an independent insurance agency or brokerage.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (resident or ability to obtain required state licenses).
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages across multiple industries.
• Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship management skills.
• Experience working with agency management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize multiple accounts while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional designations such as CIC, CISR, CRM, ARM, or CPCU are highly valued.
