The Junior Risk Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Melville, NY, with some flexibility to work from home. This role supports senior risk and insurance professionals by helping to administer risk management programs, including collecting and analyzing exposure data, assisting with insurance policy reviews, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring claims and incident reports, preparing summaries and dashboards for internal and client meetings, and coordinating with brokers, carriers, and client stakeholders.

The Junior Risk Manager will also help identify potential areas of risk, contribute to recommendations for mitigation strategies, and assist in developing reports, presentations, and communications. The role involves regular collaboration with internal teams and clients, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning.

• 2+ years of experience in brokerage, carrier, insurance, or risk management — you understand how claims, policies, and the players around them work
• Comfort managing multiple client relationships and a high volume of open items simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; confidence speaking directly with brokers, adjusters, and carrier reps
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable having a recordkeeping process end to end
• Experience with Vertafore or a comparable agency management system a plus
