Under the direction and training of management, this position will increase underwriting proficiency and performance of underwriting functions. The incumbent wll participate in on-the-job training to achieve necessary development and ability to assume additional duties and responsibilities.

- Thoroughly undewrite commercial and personal lines of business
- Inspect personal and commercial risks for hazards and determine acceptability
- Assist the independent Contractor Agents on risks tha are outside of their binding authority.
- Pjysically inpsect, analyze and evaluate property for value, condition and exposure purposes.
- Underwrite, renew, rate various lines of business.
- Participate in various daily inspections, roof inspections, special projects inspection programs.
- Frequently accompany Agents on insured appointments to assist in evaluating and identifying exposures.
- Assume duties as Roving Field Underwriter to assist with daily and overflow inspeciton workload.
- Learn duties and responsibilites of Field Underwriter through on-the-job training in office and in the field.
- Depict findings in photography and complete reports of discovery form inspections.
- Become well acquainted with underwriting manual.
