The Opportunity

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships by delivering responsive, proactive service and support
  • Partner with producers, carriers, and internal teams to market new and renewal business and deliver tailored insurance solutions
  • Manage renewals, policy changes, certificates, binders, , and other client service requests with accuracy and timeliness
  • Review quotes, policies, and coverage documents to ensure accuracy in rating, limits, endorsements, and policy details
  • Maintain organized client records, documentation, and follow-up activities within agency management systems and workflows
  • Support billing and premium-bearing transactions while ensuring compliance with agency procedures and E&O guidelines
  • Monitor outstanding items, renewals, and service requests to ensure timely completion and exceptional client experiences
  • Stay current on coverage changes, carrier offerings, and industry trends through ongoing professional development and training
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience servicing middle market and/or complex commercial accounts
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
  • Experience preparing applications, proposals, renewal submissions, and insurance documentation
  • Knowledge of commercial coverages, underwriting processes, and carrier requirements
Licensure
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License OR
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty Insurance License within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an independent insurance agency or brokerage
  • Experience supporting Agriculture, Ag-related, Construction, Manufacturing, or Distribution accounts
  • Experience with Applied Epic or other Agency Management Systems
  • Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or similar

This position is Hybrid

  • Hybrid: This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work based on business needs and manager expectations.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support office implementations, training, and collaboration with project teams.
