Job Description & How to Apply Below

Sterling Infrastructure is looking for an experienced Claims Specialist in The Woodlands, TX location. This is not a Hybrid or work from home position.

You're a claims professional who enjoys digging into the details, solving problems, and working directly with people—not just processing files—Sterling Infrastructure offers an opportunity to take your experience to the next level.

Sterling Infrastructure is a growing infrastructure company with operations across the country. With that growth comes a wide variety of claims, business units, and real-world situations that make this role anything but routine.

As a Claims Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work across Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Equipment, and Property Damage claims while partnering directly with our business units, employees, insurance carriers, and third-party providers. You'll gain exposure to multiple states and different areas of the business while becoming a trusted resource within Sterling's Corporate Risk and Safety team.

If you're looking for a company where you can build a long-term career, expand your claims knowledge, and have a voice in how claims are managed, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do
  • Manage Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Auto, Equipment, and Property Damage claims reporting though resolution
  • Partner with employees, business units, insurance carriers, and third-party providers throughout the claims process
  • Review Claims documentation, medical bills, payroll records, payments and reserves for accuracy
  • Participate in carrier and internal claim reviews and help identify next steps on open claims
  • Monitor Workers' Compensation claims, including medical treatment, investigations, rehabilitation and return-to-work efforts
  • Help employees understand Workers' Compensation benefits and requirements across multiple states
Position Requirements What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years of experience handling or adjusting Workers' Compensation claims, including multi-state claims
  • 1-3 years of experience with General Liability and Automobile claims, including claims processing, reporting, investigation, and reserves
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities at once
  • Comfortable communicating with employees, business leaders, insurance carriers, and third parties
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • 2+ years of college preferred
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
