As a small case client manager, you will coordinate service delivery of products and services to producers and customers and internal partners. Build effective relationships that support client and producer persistency, profitable growth, and competitive placement of new business.
- Build and maintain effective producer, customer, home office, and field office relationships. Initiate and deliver amendments. Facilitate service delivery and case onboarding support including answering contractual and process questions and training brokers and customers. Coordinate broker of record change and associated caseload transfers
- Manage the renewal lifecycle for true group cases of 10-99 lives and meet or exceed targets for premium and case retention and profitability. Identify growth opportunities within assigned block to meet or exceed block growth and contribute to sales goals within the hub.
- Manage workload. Adhere to established guidelines for customer responsiveness and work timeliness.
- Participate in training and huddles. Assist less experienced peers. Achieve professional growth and development goals.
- Perform administrative tasks in support of general office operations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of education and/or relevant experience
- 3+ years of customer-facing experience in employee benefits, account management, sales support, customer service, or similar role.
- Professional certification required:
Life and Disability insurance license for resident state. License must be obtained within 6 months of hire date and kept current by meeting all continuing education, payment and other state DOI requirements. - Broad understanding of insurance contracts, statutes, tax regulations, and underwriting guidelines.
- Ability to summarize or paraphrase contract language, reports and other complex subjects using plain language in both written and verbal form.
