Regional Underwriting Team Lead

Our client, an established property and casualty insurance organization, has an immediate need for a Regional Underwriting Team Lead in Spokane, WA. This role combines hands-on commercial lines underwriting with direct leadership of a team of small to middle market production underwriters.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 4 small to middle market commercial lines production underwriters
- Oversee team production efforts, underwriting quality, account management, and referral activity
- Provide underwriting leadership, guidance, and referral authority for commercial P&C accounts
- Maintain individual production underwriting responsibilities for large and complex commercial accounts
- Evaluate commercial risks and make underwriting decisions within established authority
- Support account management activities and ongoing commercial insurance portfolio performance
- Work directly with top agents and agency partners to support commercial lines business and account needs
- 7+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting experience
- Experience underwriting small to middle market commercial accounts
- Experience with production underwriting, underwriting quality, account management, and/or referral authority
- Experience underwriting complex commercial accounts
Base salary in the 100k - 165k/year range plus profit sharing, bonus & salary increases.
