Summary of Role:

The Account Executive/Sr. AE works with Brokers to strategically handle and service client accounts and may have direct account responsibilities. This role will involve day-to-day client interactions while building and maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives. The Account Executive helps ensure client needs are addressed promptly and accurately, goals are met, and service standards are achieved. At the direction of the Broker, the Account Executive prepares applications, specifications, strategic analyses, and marketing strategies for new business and assigned client renewals, with appropriate supervision and approval from their supervisor!

Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.

What's in it for you? In Complex Risk, you'll have lower volume, highly customized, strategic advisory work for large, sophisticated and national/international clients. You'll be seen as a strategic commercial insurance professional who can partner with brokers, advise clients, solve complex risk challenges, and deliver a high-touch consultative client experience!

This is a full-time remote position with a hybrid option from our Plainview, Long Island office. We will consider remote options for experienced candidates, ideally in the NY tri-state or East Coast, for the ability and feasibility to occasionally travel to client meetings or our designated offices if required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement NFP’s renewal strategy and service model by proactively handling renewal timelines, key milestones, stakeholder responsibilities, and client deliverables to support a consistent, disciplined, and proactive renewal experience.
  • Support pre-renewal planning by coordinating renewal strategy discussions, gathering updated exposure information, reviewing loss experience, confirming client objectives, and documenting agreed renewal goals, service priorities, and next steps.
  • Partner with Brokers, Placement, Service, Claims, Accounting, and GCC (Global Capabilities Centers) teams to coordinate renewal workflow, maintain visibility around open items, and ensure timely completion of applications, submissions, proposals, binding instructions, policies, endorsements, certificates, billing items, and post-renewal services.
  • Assist Brokers in developing go-to-market strategies by identifying renewal objectives, target markets, submission requirements, negotiation priorities, coverage improvement opportunities, and strategies to improve pricing, terms, conditions, limits, and overall program outcomes.
  • Support the stewardship process by helping identify year-over-year program changes, service accomplishments, open issues, risk management opportunities, coverage recommendations, and renewal considerations that strengthen client relationships and retention.
  • Maintain accurate and current client, policy, exposure, activity, and follow-up information in Epic and other designated workflow tools to support service model accountability, reporting, renewal planning, and E&O prevention.
  • Coordinate quality control for renewal and post-binding outputs, including binder and policy review, coverage checklists, certificates of insurance, endorsements, subjectivities, surplus lines documentation, affidavits, due diligence forms,…
