Commercial & Farm Underwriter

Rural Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Commercial & Farm Underwriter to serve West Bend, WI and surrounding counties. In this field-based role, you'll combine risk evaluation, relationship management, and underwriting expertise to support our commercial and agribusiness insurance portfolio. Working closely with Rural Mutual's captive agents, business owners, and farm operators, you'll conduct on-site inspections, assess exposures, provide underwriting guidance, and make informed decisions that contribute to a profitable and sustainable book of business.

This salaried position includes a company vehicle, laptop, and smartphone. It offers the opportunity to build strong partnerships with agents who represent a single carrier, creating a collaborative underwriting environment focused on risk quality, customer service, and long-term success. This hybrid role is a home-based field position
. This position servesthe greater West Bend, Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, and Waukesha areas and requires travel throughout the assigned territory. Applicants must live and work in Wisconsin and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
