General Liability (Fast Track PD) Claims Representative - Property Damage

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Liability Claims Representative to join a team. This role involves managing business owner liability claims with a focus on property damage. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a solid understanding of standard industry liability forms. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation Package
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year (up to $90,000 for highly qualified candidates)

Responsibilities
  • Manage an active caseload of fast-track property damage liability claims under business owner policies.
  • Analyze coverage issues under various standard industry forms, including Business Owners Coverage Form, Garagekeepers, Hired Non-Owned Auto, and Auto Services.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust new loss notices and claim tenders.
  • Adjust total auto losses as part of liability claims handling.
  • Collaborate on setting reserves at appropriate levels for claims.
  • Use sound judgment in managing Allocated Loss Adjustment Expenses (ALAE) during claims investigations.
  • Draft coverage letters and maintain proper documentation in claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, claimants, and other stakeholders.
  • Obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.
  • Occasionally travel to attend mediations, trainings, trials, or other related meetings.
Qualifications/Requirements Performance Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proper grammar usage and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to execute good judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet applications.
  • Prompt responsiveness and a sense of urgency in handling inquiries.
