About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Remote Insurance Claims Handler to join their fully remote team, serving clients in and around Paarl . This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of an insurance claim from initial notification through to settlement, ensuring efficient and empathetic handling. You will be responsible for communicating with policyholders, assessing claim validity, and processing payments in a timely manner, all from your home office.

• Receive and log new insurance claims, verifying policy coverage and details.

• Process claims payments accurately and efficiently, adhering to settlement guidelines.
• Maintain detailed and organized electronic records of all claim activities and correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed to resolve complex claim issues.

• Previous experience in insurance claims handling or a related customer service role.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and policy documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office productivity tools.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications are a plus.
