As the Field Service Manager (m/f/d), you’ll be part of the US subsidiary of a rapidly growing German company that thrives on cutting‑edge technology and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Your mission: build a strong, motivated, and collaborative team culture — across distances — while ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient coordination and expert technical problem‑solving.
- Lead and Inspire - You will recruit, manage, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Field Service Engineers and Automation Engineers across the US. You will foster a strong, motivated remote team culture built on trust, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Service Coordination & Technical Support - You oversee the planning and scheduling of all US field service operations, aligning technician availability, customer needs, and technical expertise. You support escalated cases as a 1st and 2nd level contact, offering hands‑on troubleshooting for our X‑ray NDT systems.
- Customer Success & Relationship Management - You are the go‑to person for our regional customers when technical issues arise. With a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and solution orientation, you ensure a smooth customer experience and foster long‑term relationships.
- Operational Excellence - You manage daily operations, define team processes, and guide technicians on complex system issues, utilizing your own and the team’s expertise. You monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and ensure service excellence and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Service Growth & Upselling You actively drive the expansion of our service business by promoting established service products, contract agreements, and spare parts programs.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration - You work closely with Visi Consult’s German headquarters and global service organization to exchange knowledge, align processes, and enhance cross‑border collaboration and technical consistency.
- Financial Oversight - You manage service‑related budgets, drive efficiency, and support the expansion of customer contracts and spare parts programs.
- Completed technical degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. technician/mechatronics or electrical engineering).
Experience with X‑ray or other NDT systems is a strong plus. - Proven track record of managing field service or technical support teams in a remote setting for at least 2 years.
- Strong background in technical troubleshooting
, scheduling, and customer‑facing roles within machinery or complex industrial systems
. - Experience in promoting and selling technical service products
, contract agreements and spare parts. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to lead remote teams, support diverse customer profiles, and align with international colleagues.
- Fluent English is required, German and/or Spanish are a significant asset.
- Independent, structured, and solution‑oriented work style to drive operational excellence – with a proactive, results‑driven approach and the ability to manage complex technical and organizational challenges
. - Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 20 – 30 %) across the Americas for customer visits, escalations, and team meetings.
