Note:
This is a contractor position, not a full-time employee role. This is NOT a remote/work‑from‑home position—you’ll be working in laundromats, engaging face‑to‑face with families. Weekend availability is required!

About the RoleAs an Outreach Associate, you’ll be the friendly face families trust, working in Baltimore laundromats to start conversations, answer questions, and help them apply for critical public benefits like Medicaid and SNAP. You’ll use your people skills to build real relationships and have a direct impact in your community.
This role operates on a flexible shift model. You’ll claim available 4‑hour shifts posted weekly in our scheduling system. Work is available Friday through Monday, with up to 32 hours per week.
What You’ll Do- Connect with Families: start warm, friendly conversations and build trust in laundromat settings.
- Educate and Assist: explain public benefit programs, screen for eligibility, and help families with applications in a clear, respectful way.

- Tech‑friendly: you’re comfortable using apps and digital tools.
- You could be: a student or have another full‑time or part‑time job but want to earn a paycheck doing meaningful work.
- Willingness to work in‑person in laundromats (no laundry required)
- Reliable transportation to and between laundromat locations
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must work at least 3 shifts per week (12 hours minimum), Friday–Monday only
- Weekend availability is required
- Background checks are conducted as part of the hiring process and/or at any time during contracting.
- Bilingual (especially in Spanish)
- Familiarity with public benefits or social service programs
