Online Sign Language Interpreter - NE

Located in Fremont, NE, this contract position calls for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth and educational settings. The role involves providing full-day interpreting services
7.5 hours plus a 30-minute lunchfor a 9th-grade student at a high school throughout the academic year, from August 12, 2025, to May 20, 2026, covering all student attendance days.

• Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation during all scheduled school hours.
• Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and classmates in a classroom environment.
• Support the student's access to educational content, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
• Adapt interpreting methods as needed for various subjects and instructional styles.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational and telehealth settings.
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreting for high school curriculum.
• Ability to work full days aligned with the school calendar.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, educators, and staff.
• Certification in sign language interpreting or equivalent credentials is preferred.
