About the RoleWe’re seeking Remote Contract Japanese Interpreters to join our dynamic team. If you’re fluent in English and Japanese, have a passion for helping others, and value professionalism and accuracy, this role is for you! As an interpreter, you’ll play a vital role in bridging communication gaps while providing a reliable, unbiased, and empathetic experience for those you assist.
What We’re Looking ForMust-Haves:
- Fluency in English and Japanese.
- A dedication to delivering courteous, accurate, and professional interpretation services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Bonus Points:
Prior experience as Over-the-Phone Interpreter (is a plus, but not a deal breaker!)
Getting StartedTo ensure the highest quality of service, here’s what you’ll need to complete during onboarding:
- English Proficiency Test:
Achieve a “technical proficiency” rating (level 3 or higher on the ILR scale). - Mock Interpretation Session:
Successfully pass a live evaluation. - Medical Terminology Assessment:
Pass an online test covering medical terms, anatomy, and physiology. - Background Check & Security Screening.
- Sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment (including HIPAA compliance).
- Your resume.
- Any certifications showcasing your skills or relevant experience.

Lingo Aid's EF SET English 50 Min. Certificate Exam - Complete:
