Interpreter​/Translator Indian Community in Akron

We are seeking an experienced interpreter translator to join our team in Akron Ohio. As an interpreter translator you will be responsible for providing translation services for the Indian community residing in Akron.

• Provide interpretation and translation services between English and a native Indian language (Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, etc).
• Attend meetings and events with Indian community members to provide interpretation services.
• Translate written documents such as letters, emails and legal documents.
• Ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity in all translations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information obtained during interpretation sessions.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating interpreter assignments.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and terminology related to the Indian community.

• Fluency in English and at least one Indian language (Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, etc).
• Proven experience as an interpreter translator.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of cultural norms and customs within the Indian community.
• Familiarity with translation software is a plus.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Salary: $1100 per month (part-time).

Location:

Akron Ohio with option for remote work.
