Translator: Remote AI Training & Evaluation

Primary function
AI companies pay translators to train and test their AI models. Through AITraining.jobs you choose a role on one of the platforms that run this work (such as Handshake AI, Welo Data, Alignerr and OneForma) and apply on the platform's own page; applying is free.

Responsibilities
- You translate or post-edit text for AI training data, rate machine translations against a guideline, review a model's output in your language for meaning and tone, and on linguistics projects answer research-level questions.

Qualifications and education
- Many ask for native fluency plus translation, localization or post-editing experience; some application forms ask for a degree in translation, linguistics or a related field and whether you can show it if asked; interpreter roles ask for a certification.
- Each listing states what it requires.
- Of the 64 open roles for translators and linguists whose requirements we read, 1 ask for a PhD, 4 a master's, 33 a bachelor's or a degree and 26 name no degree.

Pay and schedule
- Typically up to $65 an hour, set per project and stated on each role (live figures, 4 Nov 2026).
- It is remote, hourly or per-task contract work.
- Flexible hours: contract work you can do alongside your job or studies.
