Associate Attorney Maryland & Virginia – Immediate need in Maryland

Full-time preferred, but part-time opportunities are possible.

Manassas, Virginia, but remote work options will be considered.

We are a multi-state law specializing in creditors’ rights litigation, collection litigation and landlord-tenant litigation. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team to provide high-quality legal services to our clients in Virginia, Maryland and Georgia. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and supportive environment, where they will be given opportunities to develop their skills and advance their careers.

• Represent clients in collection cases and landlord-tenant disputes in Virginia and Maryland
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Appear in court and argue motions and present trials
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests, taking depositions, and preparing witnesses for depositions
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, courts and other parties
• Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Virginia and/or Maryland bar
• 1-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in the areas of collections and landlord-tenant disputes
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to commute to Virginia and Maryland as needed
