Our client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm with offices across London. The practice benefits from a strong and loyal client base and provides specialist legal services to both private individuals and commercial clients.
The firm is now seeking a talented Residential Conveyancer to join its growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused individual who wishes to develop their career within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The RoleThe successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy while delivering exceptional client service and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Managing sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
- Handling new build transactions, re-mortgages, and transfer of equity matters
- Acting on registered and unregistered property transactions
- Dealing with Help to Buy and shared ownership matters
- Advising on lease extensions and related work
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other professionals
- Working closely with colleagues, including the Private Client team
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance procedures
You will be a confident Residential Conveyancer with:
- 1–3+ years PQE in residential conveyancing
- Strong knowledge across the full range of conveyancing transactions
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- A proactive approach to networking and business development
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Professional, personable, and approachable manner
- Ambition to progress within a growing firm
- Solid understanding of residential property law and practice
- Experience managing multiple files with minimal supervision
- Clear communication with clients, agents, and lenders
- High attention to detail in drafting contracts and reports
- Strong problem-solving skills for title and transaction issues
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- IT proficiency, including experience with LEAP or similar systems
