Our esteemed law firm is seeking a talented, experienced, and dedicated Associate Attorney specializing in First Party Property Insurance. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while also providing opportunities for in-person collaboration and court appearances. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the legal industry, with a strong focus on litigation and 1st party property cases.
This role requires a dynamic professional who is ready to handle a diverse caseload and contribute to our team's ongoing success.
- Handle a wide variety of insurance cases, primarily first-party property cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery.
- Represent clients in pre-trial proceedings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
- Develop and implement defense strategies, negotiate settlements, and make recommendations for case resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and team members.
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in business development activities such as networking, client consultations, and seminars to expand client base and enhance firm reputation.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Current license to practice law in the state of Washington.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on first-party property insurance claims.
- Proven track record of successfully representing clients in insurance cases.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in legal research platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.
