Job Overview
A respected and growing law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Health Law - Medical Malpractice Defense team in the Kansas City, MO office. This is a hybrid or remote position where you will handle complex and high-exposure medical malpractice matters, representing healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical professionals.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Additional Compensation TypesAnnual Bonus
Ideal Experience- 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably focused on medical malpractice defense or related cases.
- Experience handling all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, expert coordination, and trial preparation.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage files independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Admission to practice in Missouri (Kansas admission a plus).
The firm offers a strong, well-rounded benefits package, including 3 weeks of vacation. While the formal billable requirement is 1,920 hours, associates can count up to 80 hours of vacation toward that total, putting the true client billable expectation closer to 1,840 hours. Associates actually use their vacation time.
