Job Description & How to Apply Below

Fight For Workers. Work From Anywhere In North Carolina. If you became a lawyer to make a difference—not to spend your career buried in paperwork—this role was built for you. At Spitz, The Employee’s Law Firm, our attorneys do real, client‑facing work that changes lives. We stand up for employees who have been discriminated against, harassed, retaliated against, or denied fair pay—and we do it aggressively, ethically, and with purpose.

We are a nationally recognized employment law firm with offices in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina. As we continue expanding our North Carolina team, we are hiring two North Carolina‑licensed attorneys, including one attorney fluent in both English and Spanish. These are fully remote positions—work from anywhere in North Carolina. If you want your law license to mean something—and you want a career, not just a job—we want to hear from you.

This role offers real responsibility, real growth, and real impact inside a fast-moving, mission‑driven firm known nationwide for standing up to employers who break the law.

What You’ll Do
  • Work directly with employees whose careers and livelihoods are on the line
  • Take on meaningful legal work immediately—no bench‑warming, no busywork
  • Advocate for workers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage cases
  • Collaborate with a high‑energy team that takes employee rights seriously
Who We’re Looking For
  • Attorneys licensed to practice in North Carolina
  • Strong communicators who connect easily with clients
  • Empathy, grit, and the drive to fight for people who need help
  • Employment law experience is a plus, but not required
  • Commitment and ability matter here—not pedigree or GPA
Responsibilities
  • Draft pleadings
  • Handle discovery
  • Take depositions
  • Participate in trials
  • Evaluate discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, overtime claims, and wrongful termination cases
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Communicate daily with staff and managers to coordinate screenings and consultations
Qualifications
  • Must have a Juris Doctorate
  • Must be currently licensed to practice law in NC or awaiting NC bar results
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate empathy
  • Must possess the ability to multitask using advanced time management skills and demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize work
Compensation

$60,000–$85,000 yearly
