We are seeking an exceptional mid to senior level Corporate Associate to join their national team of experts.
This role offers the chance to collaborate with a collegial group and refine your skills across a diverse range of corporate transactions. The successful candidate will primarily focus on securities and corporate law, with an emphasis on public and private mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, private equity transactions, corporate finance, corporate governance, and strategic transactions such as joint ventures, partnerships, and significant investments.

Qualifications
3 to 6 years of post-call experience (2024 - 2021 call) in Canadian and/or cross-border corporate matters, particularly in the private equity and public markets sectors from a national law firm or highly reputable regional firm.
Proficient in M&A, corporate reorganizations, and corporate governance.
Experience collaborating with corporations, investment banks, and financial institutions on negotiated and contested mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, independent committee engagements, and defense preparations.
Knowledgeable in corporate governance issues, disclosure matters, equity and debt trading strategies, and regulatory compliance.
Strong technical legal expertise, excellent business acumen, and outstanding analytical and drafting abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in various team environments.
Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple time-sensitive priorities.
Excellent academic credentials and a solid employment history.
Qualified to practice law in Canada.
