We are seeking an experienced Georgian‑speaking Immigration Paralegal to join our immigration law firm on a full‑time, in‑office basis. We specialize in affirmative and defensive asylum, VAWA, marriage‑based immigration, immigration detention, habeas corpus, and family reunification cases. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Georgian and English and have at least one (1) year of experience working as an immigration paralegal in a law firm environment.

This position is not entry‑level and requires the ability to communicate professionally with Georgian‑speaking clients and assist attorneys with immigration case preparation. No hybrid or remote work is available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate directly with Georgian‑speaking immigration clients (oral and written).
  • Translate and interpret documents and conversations from Georgian to English and English to Georgian.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, motions, and supporting documentation.
  • Gather evidence and maintain organized immigration case files.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely filings.
  • Coordinate closely with attorneys and staff on active immigration cases.
  • Communicate with courts and government agencies as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in any one of the following immigration areas: affirmative and defensive asylum, VAWA, marriage‑based immigration, immigration detention, habeas corpus, or family reunification cases.
  • Fluency in Georgian and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as an immigration paralegal in a law firm.
  • Prior experience working with immigration cases (affirmative or defensive).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to commute to Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
  • Availability to work full‑time on a long‑term basis. This position requires full‑time availability. Current students or candidates with upcoming exams should not apply.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 yearly, commensurate with experience.
  • 10 paid sick days per year.
