Senior Construction Litigation Associate; Remote – California

Overview

Our client is seeking a senior-level Construction Litigation Associate to join its nationally recognized construction law practice. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can independently manage complex construction disputes and contribute meaningfully to high-stakes matters involving both public and private projects. The construction practice has over forty years of experience handling sophisticated construction litigation and arbitrations across California, the United States, and internationally.

The Construction group represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals on matters involving:

• Complex construction litigation and arbitration
• Mediation and alternative dispute resolution
• Public and private works projects of all sizes, including:
  • Municipal power plants
  • Highways and bridges
  • Convention centers
  • Residential and multi-family developments

• Serve as lead or senior associate on complex construction litigation matters
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, law and motion, depositions, expert coordination, and trial/arbitration preparation
• Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice
• Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and case management
• Mentor junior associates as needed

• 10+ years of construction litigation experience
• Strong background in handling arbitrations and mediations
• Experience with public works projects and private construction disputes
• Familiarity with construction contracts, claims management, insurance, and bonds
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision

• $190,000 to $225,000, depending on experience
• Primarily remote firm with flexibility for California-based attorneys
• Sophisticated practice with high-level matters and long‑term client relationships
