This role is designed for senior, Arizona-barred employment litigators with meaningful law firm experience. Plaintiff-side and junior profiles will not be considered.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will independently manage employer-side matters, including:
- EPLI-covered employment litigation
- Single-plaintiff employment disputes
- Attorney demand letters and pre-litigation strategy
- Full litigation lifecycle: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and resolution
- Strategic employment counseling and risk assessments for employer clients
- Collaboration with a distributed national legal team and dedicated support staff
- Occasional in-person hearings, mediations, or proceedings within Arizona, as needed
- 7–25 years of employment law experience
- Strong employer-side employment litigation background (required)
- Prior law firm experience required
- Proven ability to manage matters autonomously from intake through resolution
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and client-facing communication skills
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
- Additional state bar admissions are a plus, not required
This role is best suited for attorneys operating at the Senior Counsel / Special Counsel level who are comfortable owning matters independently.
Compensation & Structure- Base Salary: $185,000–$205,000 (depending on experience and billable mix)
- Annual Bonus: Up to 10%
- Billable Target: ~1,750–1,850 hours annually
