Reyes Miller, P.L. is looking for a Family Law Attorney licensed to practice in Florida with 1-5 years of experience and at least 1 year of family law experience to join our exceptional firm.

Our OpportunityWe are seeking an energetic, proactive, dedicated associate attorney who has a strong understanding of Florida laws and court procedures, a passion for client advocacy and family cases, as well as the ability to handle a diverse caseload. This position involves working collaboratively with the attorneys and paralegals while managing individual cases to provide high-quality legal services to our clients. This is a fully remote position, with the exception of in-person hearings and occasional visits to the office for trial preparation and client meetings.
Candidate must be a polished professional who can attend in-person and virtual hearings in front of a Judge or Magistrate.
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. The starting salary, commensurate with experience, is $75,000.00 annually. Compensation is based upon an annual salary in addition to bonuses and commissions.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in family law matters, including attending hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials (both virtually and in-person)
- Willing to travel to various courthouses in South Florida for in-person hearings and either office location to prepare for trial or meet clients
- Handle multiple active cases, ensuring deadlines are being complied with
- Have scheduled phone calls and communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and discuss legal strategies about their case
- Communicate regularly with opposing attorneys and their staff via written and telephonic means
- Draft and review legal documents
- Negotiate settlements and draft agreements
- Electronically file legal documents using Florida’s e-Filing Portal
- Conduct in depth legal research on Florida statutes and case law
- Stay up to date on changes in Florida law and relevant legal precedents to ensure accurate legal guidance.
- Understand and navigate through our client management systems and legal software
- Effectively communicate with our team, instruct staff as needed, and receive instruction from Managing Partner
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews to discuss case progress, challenges, and opportunities for growth
- Participate in networking events, family law conferences, and professional associations to enhance the firm’s reputation and presence in Florida
- Attend relevant Florida Bar-approved CLE courses to maintain and enhance legal expertise
- Licensed family law attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Tracking Billable hours
