A leading global professional services firm focused on the financial services sector is seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join its Legal, Compliance & Risk team. The organization operates internationally and partners with asset managers, wealth managers, insurers, and alternative investment firms on complex transformation initiatives.

About the RoleThe Legal Counsel will provide commercial legal support across U.S. operations, with a primary focus on technology, SaaS, and professional services contracting. Reporting into senior legal leadership, this role is suited to an attorney with 3–5 years’ experience, ideally combining both law firm training and in-house experience.
The position offers broad exposure to commercial negotiations, privacy compliance, and cross-functional advisory work, partnering closely with business stakeholders across North America.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and negotiate client agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and subcontractor arrangements.
- Review and negotiate supplier and IT vendor contracts.
- Advise on SaaS, cloud hosting, software licensing, and partner/reseller agreements.
- Draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and data transfer mechanisms (including SCCs).
- Provide guidance on U.S. privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA and related state regulations.
- Support information security requirements and maintain template documentation.
- Deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice across the organization.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school and active U.S. state bar membership.
- 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally including both law firm and in-house experience.
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating SaaS, technology, and professional services agreements.
- Solid understanding of U.S. privacy and data protection requirements.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
