(Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the initial point of contact for a variety of legal and contracting matters within Provider Solutions, analyzing legal, regulatory, and business issues.
- Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate various types of commercial agreements, utilizing standard templates and escalating non-standard issues as needed.
- Identify and assess legal, regulatory, and business risks while proposing practical mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with privacy, compliance, security, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in contracting processes, templates, and workflows to enhance scalability and quality.
(Qualifications):
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant legal experience in a specialist, paralegal, or similar role, with substantial exposure to commercial contracting.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining risks and solutions in clear, business-focused terms.
- Demonstrated mature professional judgment in navigating legal, business, and interpersonal considerations.
(Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting healthcare businesses, including GPOs, specialty distribution, and biologics.
- Familiarity with partnering on contracting matters with privacy, compliance, and security teams.
- Involvement in process improvement initiatives such as creating playbooks or redesigning workflows.
- Previous in-house legal or legal operations experience.
