The salary range for this position is $59,661.54 to $96,767.80 for Schedule A, and $59,661.54 to $91,929.42 for Schedule
B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule
A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule

The New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection is seeking an experienced candidate to be part of the Fund’s legal team. The selected individual must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and case management/paralegal skills. Under the direction of the Fund’s Deputy Director, this position performs duties ranging from claim intake to subrogation and recovery litigation. The candidate will be required to have a strong working knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Word and the Fund’s case management system.

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
- Apply statutes, court rules, case law, policies, or other regulatory standards to claims.
- Conduct financial audits for accuracy, compliance or legitimacy to be presented to Fund Board of Trustees for determinations.
- Direct, assist, train and coordinate work on claims to staff members.
- Give advice and assist claimants in providing necessary information in filing claims with the Fund.
- Evaluate, screen and monitor claims management and caseload; identify and then contact appropriate sources such as courts, attorneys, private companies and other outside entities, for collection of a wide range of information appropriate for all-inclusive presentations to the Board of Trustees for determinations.
- Provide higher level technical advice, recommendations and/or expertise to courts, trustees, staff, and management regarding program, claim and caseload management.
- Resolve disputes, conflicts or problems regarding programs and services to the public involving claims.
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in case management involving gathering and analyzing case-related information which shall have included the exercise of judgment and discretion, and one or more of the following: reviewing cases to identify case management and discovery needs, coordinating with judges and/or attorneys to resolve case issues, and/or preparing reports of findings and recommendations.
