This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Immigration Attorney - REMOTE. In this role, you will significantly impact the lives of clients seeking justice with their immigration issues. As an experienced attorney, your expertise in Mandamus actions and federal litigation will be crucial in representing individuals whose applications face undue delays.
You'll engage in high-stakes advocacy, collaborating with a dedicated team while managing a diverse caseload. Your contribution will not only affect clients' lives but also shape the legal landscape around immigration rights.
- Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions
- Handle federal court litigation, focusing on Writs of Mandamus and APA lawsuits
- Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings
- Manage a high-volume caseload effectively
- Conduct intake with detained individuals at various centers
- Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
- Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as necessary
- Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations regarding immigration law changes
- Meet potential clients for strategic immigration consultations
- Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court testimony
- Provide legal analysis to clients for case benefit determination
- Prepare and submit legal briefs across various immigration cases
- At least 3-5 years of Immigration Law experience
- Team player open to collaboration and support
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- 2+ years in immigration law with at least 1 year in Mandamus and APA litigation preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proven record of managing caseload effectively
- Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, and USCIS applications
- Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred
