Overview
The State Attorney’s Office for the Fifth Judicial Circuit is seeking highly motivated Assistant State Attorneys for its Citrus, Hernando, Sumter, Lake and Marion County offices. The State Attorney’s Office is the prosecuting agency for all felony, misdemeanor, criminal traffic and juvenile delinquency cases in the Circuit.
Responsibilities- Prospective prosecutorial criminal casework requiring preparation of legal documents, legal research, taking depositions, and interviewing witnesses, victims and other parties to ascertain the facts of cases for prosecution.
- Trial work includes case preparation for court presentation, examining and cross-examining witnesses, defendants and victims, and summarizing cases for presentation for jury and non-jury trials.
- Maintain professional interaction with the public, law enforcement, and office staff.

Qualifications- Graduation from law school and membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
