Job DescriptionThe Ohio Attorney General's Office seeks to fill Assistant Attorney General positions in its Workers' Compensation Section at headquarters locations in Columbus, Toledo, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. Candidates should have at least two years of experience to represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio in common pleas and/or appellate courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court. They must manage a high-volume caseload and handle case management, settlement evaluations and negotiations, motion practice, written discovery and depositions, trial and appellate appearances, and occasionally administrative hearings.
Strong writing of appellate briefs and/or oral advocacy is beneficial. This hybrid in‑person/remote position may change based on training and operational needs.

- Two years or more of experience working as an attorney.
- Proficiency in attorney/legal subject matter.
- Strong attention to detail, collaboration, strategic thinking, verbal and written communication.
- Employees of the Attorney General's Office must have been in their current positions for at least 12 months to be eligible for consideration.
