Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an Assistant Attorney General for the Health and Human Services Section to represent the State of Iowa’s Child Support Services (CSS) in Des Moines.
DescriptionIf selected for this position, you will appear before the Iowa District Court in actions to establish, modify or enforce support; review and present administrative support orders issued by CSS to the district court; and provide legal advice to CSS on a variety of matters. While in-person court attendance is required, successful candidate may be given the option of remote work.
Requirementsand Preferences
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a large caseload while working within a team environment.
- Previous experience with the Iowa Child Support Guidelines or family law cases is preferred.
- This position requires a license, or the ability to obtain a license, to practice law in Iowa.
- Applicants awaiting Iowa Bar Exam results or planning to take the exam will be considered.
Annual salary range is $62,337.60 – $96,699.20, based on experience. Benefits include flexible work-from-home options, excellent work-life balance, comprehensive benefits package, and no hourly billing requirements.
