Labor & Employment Attorney Public Sector Focused Law Firm (California)
A well-established, full-service California law firm with deep roots in public sector representation is looking to add several talented Labor & Employment attorney to its growing practice. The firm has been serving government agencies and private entities for nearly a century and operates multiple offices throughout the state.
The Opportunity
You'll advise public agency and private-sector clients on a broad range of employment and traditional labor matters, with an emphasis on transactional work. This is a chance to do meaningful work that directly impacts communities advising the government entities that serve them while enjoying a quality of life that larger firms often can't match.
Qualifications:What We're Looking For
- 38 years of substantive labor and employment experience, ideally with a transactional focus
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school (minimum 3.0 GPA for candidates with fewer than 5 years of experience)
- Active California Bar membership required
- Background at boutique firms, large national firms, or government counsel offices preferred
- Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities
- Genuine interest in public law and government-facing work
- Must be based in California or willing to relocate

- Annual performance-based bonuses
- 1,850 billable hour target
