The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, a leader in automotive retail software and services, is looking for a talented In-House Attorney to focus primarily on customer contracting. As part of our legal team, you’ll contribute to innovative projects that power the automotive industry while working at the heart of a collaborative, forward-thinking organization.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure efficient, compliant, and strategic contract management. This role reports to Senior In-House Counsel.

What You’ll Do:

Review, negotiate, and draft customer agreements with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline contract administration processes. Advise on standard contract language and evaluate third-party provisions for risk and potential liability. Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business personnel at all levels. Provide counsel on additional legal matters impacting the company as needed. Travel up to 25% of the time.

What you bring:

Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from an accredited law school. At least 3 years’ experience in contract negotiation and drafting, either in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting. Active license to practice law in the State of Texas. Exceptional legal reasoning, analytical skills, and contract drafting expertise. Strong negotiation skills, sound judgment, and a flexible, problem-solving mindset to achieve favorable outcomes.

Able to thrive independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills capable of distilling complex topics for both executive and associate-level audiences.
