We are also open to conversations with solo practitioners or small firms interested in joining our practice.
San Diego, CA (Mission Valley) | In-office, full-time What you’ll do
You will manage a robust caseload with support from experienced paralegals and a collaborative attorney team. While we value cross-training and broad immigration knowledge, this position is designed for someone who can take ownership of employment-based matters while also assisting with family-based work as needed.
Core responsibilities include:- Assessing client goals and developing clear, strategic immigration plans
- Drafting and reviewing filings, including complex legal briefs, cover letters, and RFE/NOID responses
- Reviewing supporting evidence and identifying weaknesses before submission
- Supervising and mentoring paralegals; reviewing their work for accuracy and quality
- Communicating promptly and professionally with clients (email and phone)
- Staying current on USCIS policy updates, memos, and changes in immigration law
- Collaborating with the team and stepping in where needed
To be seriously considered, you should have:
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (any state)
- 18+ months of immigration law experience (employment-based strongly preferred; family-based also valued)
- Excellent legal writing and research skills; strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining high quality
- Professional, personable client-facing communication style
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset and interest in long-term growth with the firm
- This is primarily an in-office role, Monday–Friday.
- Occasional remote work is permitted, but the expectation is that most hours are worked in the office.
We ask a lot of our team, and we give a lot in return. In addition to a competitive salary ($100,000+ depending on experience and book of business), healthcare coverage, and a retirement plan, we offer:
- 3 weeks of paid time off
- Centrally located office in Mission Valley, near freeway access
- Upscale, thoughtfully designed workspace with a large workstation and Mission Valley views
