Overview
A Bay Area law firm is seeking a talented 3–7 year attorney to join its Labor and Employment Practice Group, serving primarily public sector clients with some private-sector matters. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel on employment and traditional labor issues and contribute to a strong team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel to public and private sector clients on employment law and traditional labor matters
- Handle a mix of transactional labor/employment work, workplace investigations, and advisory work
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, policies, agreements, and other work product
- Support litigation matters as needed (employment litigation experience preferred)
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex labor and employment projects
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of relevant labor and employment law experience
- Strong transactional and advisory experience in labor & employment
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills
- Prior employment litigation experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with public-sector clients
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $140,000 – $220,000 (depending on years of experience)
- Bonuses: Annual performance-based bonus eligibility
- Hybrid Work: Hybrid schedule with an annual telecommute budget for remote work needs
- Billable Requirement: 1850 hours
