Location: Northwest Arkansas (Hybrid / Remote Flexibility)
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 annually (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
About the Role
A respected and growing general practice law firm in Northwest Arkansas is seeking a full-time Immigration Attorney for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an attorney with hands-on immigration court experience who wants stability, professional growth, and the ability to make a meaningful impact for clients from diverse backgrounds.
This is not an entry-level position . The firm is specifically seeking an attorney who can independently manage immigration matters , represent clients in court, and collaborate with accredited representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients before Immigration Court, USCIS, and ICE
- Handle defensive and affirmative immigration cases , including:
- Asylum (affirmative & defensive)
- Removal and deportation proceedings
- TPS transitions
- DACA renewals
- Humanitarian Parole
- CAT (Convention Against Torture) claims
- Withdrawal of Removal
- Prepare, review, and file petitions, applications, appeals, and waivers
- Draft legal briefs, motions, correspondence, and memoranda
- Advise clients on immigration strategy and case outcomes
- Supervise and collaborate with DOJ Accredited and Partially Accredited Representatives
- Review and sign filings prepared by accredited representatives
- Track deadlines, maintain accurate case files, and ensure compliance
- Stay current on changes in immigration law and policy
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Arkansas Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of immigration law experience in a private law firm
- Direct experience representing clients in Immigration Court
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong legal writing, advocacy, and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft/Google applications
- Experience supervising DOJ Accredited Representatives
- Strong background in defensive asylum cases
- Client-facing experience with high-volume or complex caseloads
