Position Title:
Associate Attorney – Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation (remote)
Experience Level:2-8 years of experience
Bar Admission:
Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona (additional admissions to New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, or Utah a plus)
Location Requirement:
Must reside in Arizona. This is a remote position, but the associate will be expected to attend in-person meetings at the firm or court as needed.
The defense practice group is experiencing growth and is looking to add experienced attorneys to the team.
Practice Focus:1. Insurance coverage analysis and opinion work;
2. Drafting coverage position letters;
3. Insurance coverage litigation (declaratory judgment actions);
4. Insurance bad faith litigation;
5. Supporting coverage counsel duties in connection with complex claims.
Primary Responsibilities:1. Heavy research and legal writing, particularly drafting detailed coverage opinions;
2. Drafting coverage position letters;
3. Drafting and responding to discovery;
4. Preparing and responding to motions and related litigation pleadings.
Ideal Candidate Traits:1. Exceptional legal research and writing skills;
2. Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail;
3. Interest or background in insurance law is preferred, but not required.
