Associate Attorney

Pay: $85,000.00 - $ per year

Denver, CO (Hybrid: 1 day work-from-home per week; otherwise in-office)

Must be licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar, currently live in Colorado, and have 2+ years of civil litigation experience (construction defect experience is a plus, but interest in practicing construction defect law is required).

• Manage civil defense matters from early case assessment through resolution, including construction defect litigation
• Draft and argue motions (including dispositive motions), pleadings, and key case strategy documents
• Handle written discovery: propound, respond, meet-and-confer, and motion practice when needed
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and work with experts
• Appear at hearings and actively support trial preparation (trial participation encouraged as experience allows)
• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense strongly preferred)
• Active Colorado Bar license and in good standing
• Currently living in Colorado
• Solid working knowledge of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Construction defect litigation experience preferred; judicial clerkship experience is a plus
• Genuine interest in practicing construction defect law (required)
