This is a hybrid contract role for a Court Reporter based in Wilmington, and as a rover in Eastern North Carolina, with the flexibility for some remote work. In-person hours are typically between 8:30 am and 5 pm. Key responsibilities include attending court proceedings, capturing verbal testimony with accuracy, and delivering clear and precise transcripts. Additional tasks involve transcribing legal proceedings, maintaining official records of trials, and certifying transcript accuracy as a notary public.

Collaboration with legal professionals and adherence to confidentiality are essential in this role.

• Proficiency in Transcription - (Court Reporting, preferred)
• Familiarity with Court Proceedings and Testimony
• Certification as a Notary Public
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional listening skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Familiarity with legal terminology and processes
• Registered or certified as a court reporter (preferred)
