Associate Attorney

Chaplin & Gonet, PC is a well‑established Law Firm specializing in Consumer Debt, Commercial, Healthcare and Insurance Subrogation Collections throughout the Mid‑Atlantic region. Our firm is seeking a Full‑Time Remote Associate Attorney in Maryland.

Work operations will be primarily conducted in courts located in Baltimore, Montgomery and Prince George counties, Maryland.

• Must have a Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited Law School
• Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Maryland
• Must have ability to travel to courts throughout State of Maryland
• Experience in Creditors’ rights or Motor Vehicle torts preferred but not required
• Trial Experience with a strong courtroom presence and ability to manage cases independently is also preferred but not required.
• Post‑judgment collection experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to handle all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Must be able to autonomously manage a large volume of files, meet deadlines, create litigation plans, conduct discovery while maintaining exceptional client interaction.
• Must have strong organizational skills, want responsibility, enjoy litigation work, and have strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have home office setup as job is remote with travel.
• Managing account updates in collections software (JST Collect Max).
• Maintain compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
