Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for an Associate Oil and Gas Title/Transactional Attorney, based in Fort Worth, TX, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. The attorney will be responsible for conducting title examinations, preparing title opinions, and handling oil and gas transactional matters. Additional responsibilities include conducting legal research, interpreting title and legal documents, and ensuring legal compliance in oil and gas transactions.
The role requires close collaboration with colleagues and clients to deliver exceptional legal services.
- Proficiency in oil and gas title examination, title opinion drafting, and legal document analysis
- Experience in oil and gas transactional matters, including contract review and negotiation
- Strong skills in legal research, problem-solving, and interpreting regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
- License to practice law in Texas; dual-state licensure is a plus
- Familiarity with the oil and gas industry, especially in relation to Texas-specific regulations and practices
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
