This is an opportunity to work fully remote while supporting a respected litigation team handling complex insurance defense matters throughout California. The firm prioritizes high quality work, strong collaboration, and a sustainable workload.

What You Can Expect

• Fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States
• Opportunity to work on complex litigation matters across multiple defense practice areas
• Collaborative boutique firm environment

• Support 2 attorneys in insurance defense matters involving construction defect
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
• Assist with discovery including document production, interrogatories, and requests for production
• Maintain and organize case files and litigation databases
• Coordinate filings in California state courts and federal courts
• Manage litigation calendars and track court deadlines
• Assist with deposition preparation, expert coordination, and trial preparation
• Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and case summaries for hearings and trial
• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel as needed
• Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation and litigation strategy
• Manage 1620 annual billable hours

• Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience supporting defense matters
• Prior experience in insurance defense required
• Strong experience with California state court procedures and filings required
• Experience supporting complex litigation matters required
• Familiarity with federal court filings preferred
• ABA approved paralegal certificate strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with attorneys across multiple offices
