Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with offices across all 50 states, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary/Assistant to support a busy Insurance Defense practice in its Portland office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation professional who excels in a fast‑paced environment, manages competing deadlines with ease, and takes pride in delivering exceptional attorney support.
ScheduleFull-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Employment TypeContract/Temporary with strong potential for permanent hire
What You'll Bring- 5+ years of litigation legal secretary or legal assistant experience, preferably in a defense litigation practice
- Strong working knowledge of Oregon and Washington state and federal court rules, procedures, and e-filing requirements
- Experience supporting matters in King County, Washington and/or cases involving provisional process strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage a high‑volume workload
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with Milana docketing software is a plus
- Strong written communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal staff
