SummaryA Judicial/Litigation Assistant manages a portfolio of judicial foreclosure matters, ensuring pleadings, filings, deadlines, and case activity are handled accurately and in compliance with court rules, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, file, and serve pleadings; order records; and ensure timely and accurate processing of legal matters.
- Provide timely, courteous, and regular updates to clients on pending matters.
- Manage deadlines, calendars, and internal case management systems while adhering to applicable civil court procedures, federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and client directives.
- Ensure case data and legal statuses are accurately maintained across internal and client platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.
- Occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.
- Required:
1 year of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant - Preferred:
- 1 year of experience with Texas Home Equity Foreclosure, Judicial Foreclosure processes and related documentation.
- Familiarity with servicer foreclosure processing systems like BKFS, Tempo, or similar intermediary system.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- Knack for managing deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Aptitude for working collaboratively to achieve team goals.
- Skill in rapidly adjusting to new challenges and changes.
The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.
